Super Sentai (Squadron) Strongest Battle Team Analysis Part 15: The MagiRangers and the Boukengers
It looks like their overflowing dark magic has changed into the downfall of Magitopia. And Masumi Inou was right in 2007: "I thought the Adventure Spirits were endless?" In other words, their adventure days are over because of the rivalry and controversial issues in the Search Guard Successor or S.G.S..
We have returned to our site! Last time, we discussed the AbaRangers/Rampage Rangers of 2003 and the DekaRangers/Detective Rangers of 2004 and only Doggie "Boss" Kruger/DekaMaster/Master Detective Ranger was participating in the Super Sentai (Squadron) Strongest Battle. Losing his Swordsman Team to Kagura Izumi/ToQ 5gou/Limited Express Ranger No. 5 of ToQger/Limited Express Rangers of the Oddball Team, his number 100 on his suit was reduced to 0 as he was taken away by Rita and sucked into her gem. He was allegedly released from her gem's imprisonment after the Ryuusoulgers/Ryusoulgers/Saur Soul Rangers defeated her and separate Gaisorg/Gaisoulg from her as the latter's gem was shattered into pieces. And now, may I present to you the twenty-ninth and thirtieth Super Sentai (Squadron) Teams that had magic and adventure respectively. They are: Mahou Sentai MagiRenjaa (Magic/Magical Squadron MagiRanger/Magic Rangers/Magical Rangers) from February 13, 2005 Sunday to February 12, 2006 Sunday and Gougou Sentai Boukenjaa (Rumbling Squadron Boukenger/Adventure Rangers) from February 19, 2006 Sunday to February 11, 2007 Sunday. These two shows from Japan were adapted in the United States as Power Rangers Mystic Force of 2006 and Power Rangers Operation Overdrive of 2007 respectively. When magic and adventure met, they became an uneasy mix because it's an intense rivalry and jealousy. So, let's meet the ex-protagonists now the antagonists of these teams (Don't get offended because I know most of the Super Sentai (Squadron) Teams throughout the past four decades were once good guys and girls and now they're turning into villains, thanks to Rita who brainwashed them and they thought they're evil against each other.), shall we?

Kai Ozu/MagiRed/Red Magic Ranger/Red Magical Ranger is now 31 Years Old, Tsubasa Ozu/MagiYellow/Yellow Magic Ranger/Yellow Magical Ranger is now 33 Years Old, Urara Ozu/MagiBlue/Blue Magic Ranger/Blue Magical Ranger is now 34 years Old, Houka Ozu, mother of Fuuka Ozu/MagiPink/Pink Magical Ranger is now 36 Years Old, Makito Ozu/MagiGreen/Green Magical Ranger is now 38 Years Old and Urara's husband Heavenly Saint Sungel a.k.a. Hikaru/MagiShine/Shine Magic Ranger/Shine Magical Ranger's age as of 2019 is uncertain. Their parents (Fuuka's grandparents and Hikaru's parents-in-laws) Miyuki Ozu/MagiMother/Mother Magic Ranger/Mother Magical Ranger and Heavenly Saint Blagel a.k.a. Isamu Ozu/Wolzard Fire/Wolzard Fire Ranger (formerly the evil Wolzard) are getting older now and are now dependent by their grown-up children and their son-in-law. However, the bonding of the Ozu Family has come to an end when they left either Earth or Magitopia and headed for planet Nemesis for an intense family rivalry against each other, the Hoshikawa Siblings of FiveMan/Five Men of 1990, the Tatsumi Siblings of GoGoFive/Five-Five-Five of 1999 and other Super Sentai (Squadron) Teams before and after them. Looks like TOEI has made Miyuki Ozu stay in either Magitopia or on Earth and they made her that her children, her son-in-law and her husband will fight against each other unbeknownst to her and one of her grandchildren Fuuka. And the heavenly Saints of Magitopia has transformed into Hellish/Hades Saints of Infershia. This was also evident that when Rita brainwashed the Ozu Family except Miyuki, they were using Infershia Powers and Isamu wants to revert back to a Purple/Violent-colored Wolzard, which totally insane! And so, the dark magic begins. Now, for the results:

Tsubasa's, Urara's, Houka's and Isamu's Teams were defeated while Kai's Team defeated his eldest brother Makito's Team and Hikaru's Team defeated the Big Eater Team in which one of its members was also named Hikaru, the Warrior Of The Thunder/GingaYellow/Yellow Galaxy Man! Boy! It looks like Kai is hating on his eldest brother Makito, his other siblings, his brother-in-law Hikaru and his father for being too jealous against them! Oh, my God! Take note that Houka's Team was defeated by the Leader Team. How I wish that if I have the Super Sentai (Squadron) Strongest Battle Director's Cut DVD, I just wanna see how Houka was badly beaten by Tsuruhime/NinjaWhite of KakuRanger/Hidden Rangers of the Leader Team. As a result, Tsubasa, Urara, Houka and Isamu were disappeared, taken away by Rita and were imprisoned in her gem. No doubt poor Houka screamed her daughter's name in frustration: "FUUKA-CHAN!!! (FUUKA!!!)". I thought Houka was called the " Loving and Invincible Mother" in Hero Mama League, but she wasn't in this bloody tournament! How shameful!

Kai's Team was defeated by the Swordsman Team and he was joined in the gem imprisonment system while Hikaru's Team stood his ground unopposed...for now.
Quarterfinals
Hikaru's Team was defeated by the Super Strong Team and he, too, joined the gem imprisonment system that Rita made for the defeated teams. Meanwhile in the Semifinals, Captain Marvelous/GoukaiRed/GokaiRed/Red Heroic Ranger of Goukaiger/Gokaiger/Heroic Rangers used Kai Ozu's/MagiRed's/Red Magic Ranger's/Red Magical Ranger's Ranger Key in an attempt to separate his fellow teammate Stinger/Sasori Orange/Orange Scorpion Ranger of KyuuRanger/KyuRanger/Sphere Rangers/Nine Rangers from Gaisorg's/Gaisoulg's control using MagiStick Sword and Red Fire attacks and it was a success. Meanwhile, the Ozu Family members save Miyuki were suffering and their worst part came when Rita revived Great Satan, ZyuRanger's/Beast Rangers' main villain using her magic unrelated to Infershia. They suffered even further and began vomiting, making their lives in critical condition. As Great Satan transformed into Ultimate Great Satan, he made assaults on the Oddball Team, who then fought back by summoning Goukai/Gokai/Heroic Galleon (this was happened after Luka Millfy/GoukaiYellow/GokaiYellow/Yellow Heroic Ranger destroyed the barrier machine and she almost died from the machine's explosion) to ram the giant floating head being and once they evacuated the galleon in time, the Red Sentai (Squadron) Warriors' Spirits aided them in defeating Ultimate Great Satan by killing and shattering him into multiple pieces the second time around. But Rita was angry and she was wearing Gaisorg's/Gaisoulg's armor, then blasted the Oddball boys and taking Kagura hostage when the Ryuusoulgers/Ryusoulgers/Saur Soul Rangers rescued the latter from the clutches of Rita-Gaisorg/Gaisoulg. the latter was separated from the young villainess and her gem was shattered into multiple pieces, allegedly releasing the Super Sentai (Squadron) teams, including the Ozu Family/MagiRangers/Magic Rangers/Magical Rangers.
30) The Boukengers
The Chief of Museum Operations at the Search Guard Successor or S.G.S. Satoru "Chief" Akashi, son of a U.M.A. Hunter Kouichi Akashi, the Fiery Adventurer/BoukenRed/Red Adventure Ranger is now 37 Years Old and still has feelings with the Deputy Chief/Sub-Chief of Museum Operations and former Japanese Defense Forces Combatant Sakura Nishihori, the Deep Adventurer/BoukenPink/Pink Adventure Ranger, who is now 35 Years Old (Masumi and Eiji called her "Sakura-neesan (Lady Sakura)" while Souta and Natsuki called her "Sakura-san (Miss Sakura)"). Masumi Inou, the Fast Adventurer/BoukenBlack/Black Adventure Ranger is now 34 Years Old and still has feelings with the sole surviving princess of Lemuria Natsuki Mamiya a.k.a. Princess Lelina, the Strong Adventurer/BoukenYellow/Yellow Adventure Ranger (Her age claimed that she is 32 Years Old as of 2019, but the recent sample of her DNA showed that she is 100,013 Years Old. Disputes on her age continues.). The only Boukengers/Adventure Rangers that don't have girlfriends were Souta Mogami, the High/Elevated Adventurer/BoukenBlue/Blue Adventure Ranger, who is now 36 years Old (Sakura called him "Souta-kun (Souta boy)" while Natsuki called him "Souta-san (Mr. Souta)") and the former Ashu Hunter Eiji Takaoka, the Dazzling Adventurer/BoukenSilver/Silver Adventure Ranger, who is now 37 Years Old (Natsuki called him "Ei-chan" while Sakura called him "Takaoka-san (Mr. Takaoka)"). They also have their companion goes by the name of the Great Sword Man Zubaan/The Golden Sword. Like Natsuki, he is also a Lemurian. Things were pretty good for the members of the Search Guard Successor or S.G.S. until unbeknownst to their mentor Museum professor Makino Morio, Mister Voice, Kei (Eiji's mother) and the parents of Natsuki, they went to the planet Nemesis not to find any of the Precious Treasures, but to fight against each other and other Super Sentai (Squadron) Teams before and after them. Masumi was right 12 years ago: "I thought the Adventure Spirits were endless?". And now, it has a new meaning: their adventure spirits has come to an end and S.G.S. is in great danger of disbandment. How I wished I wanna see how Kagura Izumi/ToQ 5gou/Limited Express Ranger No. 5 of ToQger/Limited Express Rangers of the Oddball Team defeated her and her fellow Pink Sentai (Squadron) Warrior teammate Matsuri Tatsumi/GoPink/FivePink Mk. II/Pink Five Mk. II of GoGoFive/Five-Five-Five in the Super Sentai (Squadron) Strongest Battle Director's Cut DVD. But defeating such senpai senshi (Superior/Senior Warriors) is equivalent to disrespecting the elderly and the middle-aged people. How inconvenient and unforgivable! So, Masumi, Souta and Sakura were disappeared, taken away by Rita and were imprisoned in her gem.

Eiji's Team had faced the Oddball Team with his teammate Sousuke Esumi/Go-On Red/Red Go On Ranger of Go-Onger/Go On Rangers. In this case, their members Takaharu Igasaki/AkaNinger/Red Ninja/Endurance Ranger of Ninninger/Ninja/Endurance Rangers and Stinger/Sasori Orange/Orange Scorpion Ranger of KyuuRanger/KyuRanger/Sphere Rangers/Nine Rangers were fighting against the 2006 and 2008 Super Sentai (Squadron) Teams. Eiji's Sagasniper (Searchsniper) and Sousuke's Road Saber were destroyed by Takaharu's Gekiatsutou (Intense Hot Sword) Katana and Stinger's Kyuu (Sphere/Nine) Spear. Eiji's Team was defeated and he and his teammate Sousuke (Where's Saki Rouyama/Go-On Yellow/Yellow Go On Ranger where you need them?) were likewise joined in the gem imprisonment system. No doubt Eiji called Takaharu and Stinger "the more evil Sentai (Squadron) Warriors and they are worst and more threatening than Gai (Guy) and Rei (Ley) the Questers"! Meanwhile, Satoru's, Natsuki's and Zubaan's Teams had stood their ground unopposed...for now. Why? Were the other opposing teams are afraid of Chief and the Lemurians? Some say yes, but other said no.

Satoru's Team was defeated by the Martial Artist Team. Meanwhile, Natsuki's Super Strong Team had faced-off her fellow Lemurian Zubaan's Glided Team. It's the battle of the Lemurians or the Lemurian Civil War in the Modern World! Looks like Natsuki's gonna hate Zubaan and the latter's Green circles on his chest turned Black. Although Natsuki's Team had won over Zubaan's Team, she, her Super Strong Teammate Raita Ooishi/Yellow Owl of JetMan/Jet Men and the Glided Team members (Zubaan himself, Hiroto Sutou/Go-On Gold-Gold Go On Ranger of Go-Onger/Go On Rangers and GoseiKnight/Knight Guard Star Ranger of Goseiger/Guard Star Rangers) were disappeared along with Satoru and were joined in the gem imprisonment system, leaving her teammates Gouki/GingaBlue/Blue Galaxy Man of GingaMan/Galaxy Men and Soutarou Ushigome/GaoBlack/Black Roaring Ranger of GaoRanger/Roaring Rangers on the battlefield.
Semifinals
Despite Natsuki's absence, her Super Strong Team was defeated by the Martial Artist Team. The Boukengers/Adventure Rangers were suffering in Rita's gem and things get worse for them when she revived Great Satan from her gem and their health were in critical condition. When Great Satan was transformed into Ultimate Great Satan, he tried to crush the Oddball Team, but they counterattacked him by summoning Goukai/Gokai/Heroic Galleon to crash the floating head being. And her gem, you ask? Well, it was shattered into multiple pieces and the Super Sentai (Squadron) Warrior Teams, including the Boukengers/Adventure Rangers, were allegedly released.
The MagiRanger/Magic Rangers/Magical Rangers actors and actresses refused to comment on the miniseries. Neither one of them had reprised their roles. But on the Boukenger/Adventure Rangers side, Masayuki Deai (Eiji Takaoka) was so glad about his reprisal as the Dazzling Adventurer and his commentaries were true in his websites (Twitter: @masayukideai and Ameblo: deaimasayuki) since he was last seen portraying Shinya Tsukouchi/KyouryuuGray/KyoryuGray/Gray Dinosaur Ranger in Kyouryuuger/Kyoryuger/Dinosaur Rangers. The other Boukenger/Adventure Rangers actors and actresses were posting their comments which are not related to TV Asahi's Super Sentai (Squadron) Miniseries. Currently, we have no other information why they didn't reprised their roles as they refused to comment on that issue. So, will the MagiRangers/Magic Rangers/Magical Rangers and the Boukengers/Adventure Rangers return for the 45th Anniversary of the Super Sentai (Squadron) Series in 2021? We'll see if that will happen soon enough.

Meanwhile, the Ozu Family members save Miyuki were suffering and their worst part came when Rita revived Great Satan, ZyuRanger's/Beast Rangers' main villain using her magic unrelated to Infershia. They suffered even further and began vomiting, making their lives in critical condition. As Great Satan transformed into Ultimate Great Satan, he made assaults on the Oddball Team, who then fought back by summoning Goukai/Gokai/Heroic Galleon (this was happened after Luka Millfy/GoukaiYellow/GokaiYellow/Yellow Heroic Ranger destroyed the barrier machine and she almost died from the machine's explosion) to ram the giant floating head being and once they evacuated the galleon in time, the Red Sentai (Squadron) Warriors' Spirits aided them in defeating Ultimate Great Satan by killing and shattering him into multiple pieces the second time around. But Rita was angry and she was wearing Gaisorg's/Gaisoulg's armor, then blasted the Oddball boys and taking Kagura hostage when the Ryuusoulgers/Ryusoulgers/Saur Soul Rangers rescued the latter from the clutches of Rita-Gaisorg/Gaisoulg. the latter was separated from the young villainess and her gem was shattered into multiple pieces, allegedly releasing the Super Sentai (Squadron) teams, including the Ozu Family/MagiRangers/Magic Rangers/Magical Rangers.
30) The Boukengers
The Chief of Museum Operations at the Search Guard Successor or S.G.S. Satoru "Chief" Akashi, son of a U.M.A. Hunter Kouichi Akashi, the Fiery Adventurer/BoukenRed/Red Adventure Ranger is now 37 Years Old and still has feelings with the Deputy Chief/Sub-Chief of Museum Operations and former Japanese Defense Forces Combatant Sakura Nishihori, the Deep Adventurer/BoukenPink/Pink Adventure Ranger, who is now 35 Years Old (Masumi and Eiji called her "Sakura-neesan (Lady Sakura)" while Souta and Natsuki called her "Sakura-san (Miss Sakura)"). Masumi Inou, the Fast Adventurer/BoukenBlack/Black Adventure Ranger is now 34 Years Old and still has feelings with the sole surviving princess of Lemuria Natsuki Mamiya a.k.a. Princess Lelina, the Strong Adventurer/BoukenYellow/Yellow Adventure Ranger (Her age claimed that she is 32 Years Old as of 2019, but the recent sample of her DNA showed that she is 100,013 Years Old. Disputes on her age continues.). The only Boukengers/Adventure Rangers that don't have girlfriends were Souta Mogami, the High/Elevated Adventurer/BoukenBlue/Blue Adventure Ranger, who is now 36 years Old (Sakura called him "Souta-kun (Souta boy)" while Natsuki called him "Souta-san (Mr. Souta)") and the former Ashu Hunter Eiji Takaoka, the Dazzling Adventurer/BoukenSilver/Silver Adventure Ranger, who is now 37 Years Old (Natsuki called him "Ei-chan" while Sakura called him "Takaoka-san (Mr. Takaoka)"). They also have their companion goes by the name of the Great Sword Man Zubaan/The Golden Sword. Like Natsuki, he is also a Lemurian. Things were pretty good for the members of the Search Guard Successor or S.G.S. until unbeknownst to their mentor Museum professor Makino Morio, Mister Voice, Kei (Eiji's mother) and the parents of Natsuki, they went to the planet Nemesis not to find any of the Precious Treasures, but to fight against each other and other Super Sentai (Squadron) Teams before and after them. Masumi was right 12 years ago: "I thought the Adventure Spirits were endless?". And now, it has a new meaning: their adventure spirits has come to an end and S.G.S. is in great danger of disbandment. Looks like Satoru is gonna hate Sakura, Masumi is gonna hate Natsuki and the list goes on. Why? Because their adventure days are over due to hostilities. This is a gruesome match! Masumi's, Souta's and Sakura's Teams were defeated while Satoru's Team defeated the Frivolous Team, Natsuki's Team defeated the Curveball Team but at a cost: her fellow teammate Jun'ichi Aikawa/Green Rino/Green Rhinoceros of LiveMan/Live Men was disappeared, Eiji's Team defeated the Legendary Team but at a cost: his teammates Natsumi Shinohara/Yellow Racer of CarRanger/Car Rangers and Shou Tatsumi/GoGreen/FiveGreen/Green Three of GoGoFive/Five-Five-Five and Zubaan's Team defeated the Big Eater Team. Take note that Souta's Team was defeated by the Flying Team and Sakura's Team was defeated by the Oddball Team. How I wished I wanna see how Kagura Izumi/ToQ 5gou/Limited Express Ranger No. 5 of ToQger/Limited Express Rangers of the Oddball Team defeated her and her fellow Pink Sentai (Squadron) Warrior teammate Matsuri Tatsumi/GoPink/FivePink Mk. II/Pink Five Mk. II of GoGoFive/Five-Five-Five in the Super Sentai (Squadron) Strongest Battle Director's Cut DVD. But defeating such senpai senshi (Superior/Senior Warriors) is equivalent to disrespecting the elderly and the middle-aged people. How inconvenient and unforgivable! So, Masumi, Souta and Sakura were disappeared, taken away by Rita and were imprisoned in her gem.
Round Of 16
Eiji's Team had faced the Oddball Team with his teammate Sousuke Esumi/Go-On Red/Red Go On Ranger of Go-Onger/Go On Rangers. In this case, their members Takaharu Igasaki/AkaNinger/Red Ninja/Endurance Ranger of Ninninger/Ninja/Endurance Rangers and Stinger/Sasori Orange/Orange Scorpion Ranger of KyuuRanger/KyuRanger/Sphere Rangers/Nine Rangers were fighting against the 2006 and 2008 Super Sentai (Squadron) Teams. Eiji's Sagasniper (Searchsniper) and Sousuke's Road Saber were destroyed by Takaharu's Gekiatsutou (Intense Hot Sword) Katana and Stinger's Kyuu (Sphere/Nine) Spear. Eiji's Team was defeated and he and his teammate Sousuke (Where's Saki Rouyama/Go-On Yellow/Yellow Go On Ranger where you need them?) were likewise joined in the gem imprisonment system. No doubt Eiji called Takaharu and Stinger "the more evil Sentai (Squadron) Warriors and they are worst and more threatening than Gai (Guy) and Rei (Ley) the Questers"! Meanwhile, Satoru's, Natsuki's and Zubaan's Teams had stood their ground unopposed...for now. Why? Were the other opposing teams are afraid of Chief and the Lemurians? Some say yes, but other said no.
Quarterfinals
Satoru's Team was defeated by the Martial Artist Team. Meanwhile, Natsuki's Super Strong Team had faced-off her fellow Lemurian Zubaan's Glided Team. It's the battle of the Lemurians or the Lemurian Civil War in the Modern World! Looks like Natsuki's gonna hate Zubaan and the latter's Green circles on his chest turned Black. Although Natsuki's Team had won over Zubaan's Team, she, her Super Strong Teammate Raita Ooishi/Yellow Owl of JetMan/Jet Men and the Glided Team members (Zubaan himself, Hiroto Sutou/Go-On Gold-Gold Go On Ranger of Go-Onger/Go On Rangers and GoseiKnight/Knight Guard Star Ranger of Goseiger/Guard Star Rangers) were disappeared along with Satoru and were joined in the gem imprisonment system, leaving her teammates Gouki/GingaBlue/Blue Galaxy Man of GingaMan/Galaxy Men and Soutarou Ushigome/GaoBlack/Black Roaring Ranger of GaoRanger/Roaring Rangers on the battlefield.
Semifinals
Despite Natsuki's absence, her Super Strong Team was defeated by the Martial Artist Team. The Boukengers/Adventure Rangers were suffering in Rita's gem and things get worse for them when she revived Great Satan from her gem and their health were in critical condition. When Great Satan was transformed into Ultimate Great Satan, he tried to crush the Oddball Team, but they counterattacked him by summoning Goukai/Gokai/Heroic Galleon to crash the floating head being. They evacuated in time and the Red Sentai (Squadron) Warriors' Spirits aided them in defeating the ZyuRanger's/Beast Rangers' main villain into multiple pieces the second time. Rita was wearing Gaisorg's/Gaisoulg's armor after she was dismayed by the defeat of the giant floating head being and she then blasted the Oddball boys and taken Kagura hostage when the Ryuusoulgers/Ryusoulgers/Saur Soul Rangers rescued her and they separate Gaisorg's/Gaisoulg's armor from Rita. And her gem, you ask? Well, it was shattered into multiple pieces and the Super Sentai (Squadron) Warrior Teams, including the Boukengers/Adventure Rangers, were allegedly released.
The MagiRanger/Magic Rangers/Magical Rangers actors and actresses refused to comment on the miniseries. Neither one of them had reprised their roles. But on the Boukenger/Adventure Rangers side, Masayuki Deai (Eiji Takaoka) was so glad about his reprisal as the Dazzling Adventurer and his commentaries were true in his websites (Twitter: @masayukideai and Ameblo: deaimasayuki) since he was last seen portraying Shinya Tsukouchi/KyouryuuGray/KyoryuGray/Gray Dinosaur Ranger in Kyouryuuger/Kyoryuger/Dinosaur Rangers. The other Boukenger/Adventure Rangers actors and actresses were posting their comments which are not related to TV Asahi's Super Sentai (Squadron) Miniseries. Currently, we have no other information why they didn't reprised their roles as they refused to comment on that issue. So, will the MagiRangers/Magic Rangers/Magical Rangers and the Boukengers/Adventure Rangers return for the 45th Anniversary of the Super Sentai (Squadron) Series in 2021? We'll see if that will happen soon enough.

Next time: we will analyze two more Super Sentai (Squadron) Teams from the 2000's. This time, they are: the GekiRangers/Fierce Spirit Rangers with their Chinese Martial Arts techniques and the Go-Ongers/Go On Rangers with their Fire Gods/Flame Gods/Engines.
