Super Sentai (Squadron) Strongest Battle Team Analysis Part 13: The GaoRangers and the Hurricanegers
"When there is either defeat or death, there is a weeping of injustice! How sad!" The GaoRangers/Roaring Rangers are now hostile against each other because even the Power Animals, they're gonna fight against each other to the death. And unbeknownst to the Hurricanegers/Hurricane Rangers, they are now the shadows that have fought against the good, which is a devastating blow to the Ninja Schools and Dojos all over Japan.
We're back! Previously, we analyzed the teams the GoGoFive/Five-Five-Five Team/Tatsumi Siblings of 1999 and the TimeRangers/Time Rangers of 2000 belong to. Now, as we continue our team analysis, we will move on to twenty-fifth and twenty-sixth Super Sentai (Squadron) Series' Teams of the early 2000's. They are: Hyakujuu Sentai GaoRenjaa (Hundred Beasts Squadron GaoRanger/Roaring Rangers) from February 18, 2001 Sunday to February 10, 2002 Sunday and Ninpuu Sentai Harikenjaa (Endurance Wind Squadron Hurricaneger/Hurricane Rangers) from February 17, 2002 Sunday to February 9, 2003 Sunday. These were adapted in the United States as Power Rangers Wild Force of 2002 and Power Rangers Ninja Storm of 2003 respectively. So, it's the Power Animals fighting against the Wind, Thunder and Heavenly Ninjas fighting for supremacy! What a ham! Well, analyzing these teams will be of good use, so let's get on to it, huh?
25) The GaoRangers
Veterinarian Dr. Kakeru Shishi/The Red-Hot/Blazing Lion GaoRed/Red Roaring Ranger is now 42 Years Old, Air Force 2nd Lieutenant Gaku Washio/The Superior/Noble Eagle GaoYellow/Yellow Roaring Ranger is now 41 Years Old, Surf Shop Employee Kai Samezu/The Surging Shark GaoBlue/Blue Roaring Ranger is now 37 Years Old, Former Sumo Wrestler Soutarou Ushigome/The Iron/Steel Bison GaoBlack/Black Roaring Ranger is now 40 Years Old and have a family life with his wife Shi or Shi-chan, Martial Artist Sae Taiga/The Beautiful/Belle Tiger GaoWhite/White Roaring Ranger is now 35 Years Old and Tsukumaro Oogami a.k.a. Shirogane/The Vivid/Sparkling Silver Wolf GaoSilver/Silver Roaring Ranger is now 1,080 Years Old. They are the GaoRangers/Roaring Rangers, the warriors with the Animal powers as their companions. However, unbeknownst to their mentor Tetomu/Tetom and Soutarou's wife Shi or Shi-chan, they went to a planet called Nemesis for a violent rivalry against themselves and the Super Sentai (Squadron) Teams before and after them. Kai's and Sae's Teams were defeated while Kakeru's Team defeated the Acrobat Team, Gaku's Team defeated the Refreshing Team, Soutarou's Team defeated the Curveball Team but at a price: his teammate Jun'ichi Aikawa/Green Rhino/Green Rhinoceros of LiveMan/Live Men disappeared and Shirogane's Team defeated the Pink Warrior Team. Didn't Shirogane hate the Pink Sentai Heroines who are older and younger than him? That's a disgrace! Anyway, Kai and Sae disappeared, taken away by Rita and were imprisoned in her gem.
Round Of 16
Gaku's Team was defeated by the Swordsman Team and this blunder has also did the same thing to Shirogane. Both of them were joined in the gem imprisonment system, which is too harsh. Meanwhile, Kakeru's and Soutarou's Teams had stood their ground unopposed...for now.
Quarterfinals
Kakeru's Team was defeated by the Oddball Team and as a result, he too, joined the gem imprisonment system. Meanwhile, Soutarou's Team defeated the Glided Team but at a price: his teammates Raita Ooishi/Yellow Owl of JetMan/Jet Men and Natsuki Mamiya a.k.a. Princess Lelina of Lemuria/BoukenYellow/Yellow Adventure Ranger of Boukenger/Adventure Rangers were disappared, leaving him and another teammate Gouki/GingaBlue/Blue Galaxy Man of GingaMan/Galaxy Men remained on the battle site.
Semifinals
Soutarou and Gouki of the Super Strong Team fought against Ryou of the Heavenly Star/RyuuRanger/RyuRanger/Dragon Ranger of Dairanger/Great Rangers and Tatsuya Asami/TimeRed/Red Time Ranger of TimeRanger/Time Rangers of the Martial Artist Team when Gaisorg/Gaisoulg (not knowing that inside of this cursed armor was Stinger/Sasori Orange/Orange Scorpion Ranger of the Oddball Team) crashed in and joined the riot. As a result, Soutarou and his rival Ryou were disappeared (later revealed that they were inside Rita's gem for more suffering) while Gouki and his rival Tatsuya were also sucked in her gem. The real result was Soutarou's Team was defeated by the Martial Artist Team. The GaoRangers/Roaring Rangers were suffering even further when Rita revived Great Satan from her gem after 26 years and when he transformed into Ultimate Great Satan, the gigantic floating head being is about to crush the Oddball Team, who then fought back by summoning Goukai/Gokai/Heroic Galleon to smash his head. When they evacuated in time, they were aided by the Red Sentai (Squadron) Warriors' Spirits to kill the Ultimate Great Satan and exploded into multiple pieces the second time around. Rita was so furious about this, so she summoned Gaisorg/Gaisoulg to be with her as her armor. She then blasted the Oddball boys and had Kagura Izumi/ToQ 5gou/Limited Express Ranger No. 5 taken hostage when the Ryuusoulgers/Ryusoulgers/Saur Soul Rangers rescued her from the clutches of Rita-Gaisorg/Gaisoulg which then leads to the separation of Gaisorg/Gaisoulg from her and her gem was shattered when the Super Sentai (Squadron) Teams, including the GaoRangers/Roaring Rangers were allegedly released.
26) The Hurricanegers
Yousuke Shiina/Air Ninja Hurricane Red/Red Hurricane Ranger is now 36 Years Old, Nanami Nono, the mother of Kairi/Water Ninja Hurricane Blue/Blue Hurricane Ranger is now 35 Years Old, Kouta Bitou/Land Ninja Hurricane Yellow/Yellow Hurricane Ranger is now 37 Years Old, Ikkou Kasumi/Horned Ninja Kabuto Raiger/Rhinoceros Beetle Thunder Ranger is now 41 Years Old and Isshuu Kasumi/Fanged Ninja Kuwaga Raiger/Stag Beetle Thunder Ranger is now 38 Years Old and is believed to be the husband of Nanami Nono (despite the fact that he and Nanami were three years difference in age) and the father of Kairi. The only Hurricaneger/Hurricane Rangers that was missing among the living was Asuka Kagura/Heavenly Ninja Shurikenger/Throwing Star Ranger/Small Throwing Blade Ranger. Why? Because he had his posthumous successor goes by the name of Tenkai/Heavenly Ninja Shurikenger II/Throwing Star Ranger II/Small Throwing Blade Ranger II, now 16 Years Old. The Ninja School this 2019 had fell apart. Why you ask? Because unbeknownst to their mentors Master Mugensai Hinata and his daughter Oboro, they went to the planet Nemesis for some Ninja rivalry, not just against themeselves, the KakuRangers/Hidden Rangers and the Ninningers/Ninja/Endurance Rangers alone, but also against the other Super Sentai (Squadron) Teams before and after them. Well, look at that! TOEI has done it again! The majority of the Hurricanegers/Hurricane Rangers didn't go to the planet Nemesis. Which means, for some unknown reasons, five out of six (5/6) Hurricanegers/Hurricane Rangers remained on Earth. So, for those Hero Mama League fans out there, you'll get a breather now because Nanami, the mother of Kairi and allegedly the wife of Isshuu, was among the Sentai (Squadron) Heroines that were excluded in the Super Sentai (Squadron) Strongest Battle list. Imagine if she's in the Water Warrior Team, Kairi would've probably be sad and cry loudly for his mother's team's defeat. Thankfully and luckily, that wouldn't happen. As for Asuka, well, TOEI made this character being resurrected and was joined in a bloody combat. So, here are the results of this bloody tournament. So, grab your katanas and let's make bloodshed on those poor saps, okay?
Round Of 32
Asuka's Team was defeated by the Super Strong Team, which leads to his disappearance, being taken away by Rita and was imprisoned in her gem. Meanwhile, in the Quarterfinals, Captain Marvelous/GoukaiRed/GokaiRed/Red Heroic Ranger of the Oddball Team used Yousuke's/Hurricane Red's/Red Hurricane Ranger's Ranger Key in an attempt to break his fellow teammate Takaharu Igasaki/AkaNinger/Red Ninja/Endurance Ranger free from Gaisorg's/Gaisoulg's control using the Hayatemaru/Wind Round/Circle Katana. Gaisorg's/Gaisoulg's helmet was removed, but Takaharu was angry at his teammates for being foolish, an accusation that Marvelous denied and Gaisorg/Gaisoulg took him away to another space factory, where Takaharu was tied up in chains with Luka Millfy/GoukaiYellow/GokaiYellow/Yellow Heroic Rangers until Captain Marvelous, in Gaisorg's/Gaisoulg's helmet, inadvertently set the two free and Luka destroyed Gaisorg's/Gaisoulg's helmet from her fellow Goukaiger's/Gokaiger's/Heroic Ranger's head. No wonder Luka called her fellow Goukaiger/Gokaiger/Heroic Ranger Captain Marvelous an "imp"! The latter denied this accusation. In the meantime, Asuka was suffering even further when Rita revived Great Satan, who then transformed into Ultimate Great Satan. The gigantic floating head being had tried to crush the Oddball Team, who then fought back by summoning Goukai/Gokai/Heroic Galleon. This galleon can smash the head of Ultimate Great Satan by ramming him, and when they evacuated the galleon, the Red Sentai (Squadron) Warriors' Spirits had aided them, which leads to the second defeat of Ultimate Great Satan. How? By using the Oddball Team's version of GoRanger/Five Rangers Hurricane, which leads to the shattering of the huge enemy into multiple pieces the second time around. Rita was angry and she then put on Gaisorg's/Gaisoulg's armor to blast the Oddball boys and took Kagura Izumi/ToQ 5gou/Limited Express Ranger No. 5 hostage when the Ryuusoulgers/Ryusoulgers/Saur Soul Rangers rescued her from the clutches of Rita-Gaisorg/Gaisoulg and then separated Gaisorg/Gaisoulg from the young villainess. And her gem was shattered as the Super Sentai (Squadron) Teams, including Asuka, were allegedly released.
Noboru Kaneko was so glad that he was working with Ryouta Ozawa of Goukaiger/Gokaiger/Heroic Rangers once again. This time, it's a very different story. Between 2011 and 2019, the friends has become the enemies and his posts were visible on his various websites (Ameblo: kaneko-noboru, Twitter: @L91c5DTfDS44SDW and Instagram: @noboru_kaneko_official). The other GaoRangers/Roaring Rangers actors and actresses has no comments on the miniseries. As for Nao Nagasawa (Twitter: @nagasawanao0105, Ameblo: nao-nagasawa and Instagram: nagasawana_official), who was last seen in Hero Mama League last year (2018), she may have watched the bloody tournament on TV Asahi, but was not given a single comment on any of her posts. The rest of the Hurricangers/Hurricane Rangers actors and actresses were likewise silent about this issue. However, many Super Sentai (Squadron) fans have asked Noboru and Nao: "Will the Gaorangers/Roaring Rangers and the Hurricanegers/Hurricane Rangers return in 2021 for the 45th Anniversary of the Super Sentai (Squadron) Series?" For them, they won't answer right now. But at a right time, they will reveal their answers to the fans in the future.

Gaisorg's/Gaisoulg's helmet was removed, but Takaharu was angry at his teammates for being foolish, an accusation that Marvelous denied and Gaisorg/Gaisoulg took him away to another space factory, where Takaharu was tied up in chains with Luka Millfy/GoukaiYellow/GokaiYellow/Yellow Heroic Rangers until Captain Marvelous, in Gaisorg's/Gaisoulg's helmet, inadvertently set the two free and Luka destroyed Gaisorg's/Gaisoulg's helmet from her fellow Goukaiger's/Gokaiger's/Heroic Ranger's head. No wonder Luka called her fellow Goukaiger/Gokaiger/Heroic Ranger Captain Marvelous an "imp"! The latter denied this accusation. In the meantime, Asuka was suffering even further when Rita revived Great Satan, who then transformed into Ultimate Great Satan. The gigantic floating head being had tried to crush the Oddball Team, who then fought back by summoning Goukai/Gokai/Heroic Galleon. This galleon can smash the head of Ultimate Great Satan by ramming him, and when they evacuated the galleon, the Red Sentai (Squadron) Warriors' Spirits had aided them, which leads to the second defeat of Ultimate Great Satan. How? By using the Oddball Team's version of GoRanger/Five Rangers Hurricane, which leads to the shattering of the huge enemy into multiple pieces the second time around. Rita was angry and she then put on Gaisorg's/Gaisoulg's armor to blast the Oddball boys and took Kagura Izumi/ToQ 5gou/Limited Express Ranger No. 5 hostage when the Ryuusoulgers/Ryusoulgers/Saur Soul Rangers rescued her from the clutches of Rita-Gaisorg/Gaisoulg and then separated Gaisorg/Gaisoulg from the young villainess. And her gem was shattered as the Super Sentai (Squadron) Teams, including Asuka, were allegedly released.
Noboru Kaneko was so glad that he was working with Ryouta Ozawa of Goukaiger/Gokaiger/Heroic Rangers once again. This time, it's a very different story. Between 2011 and 2019, the friends has become the enemies and his posts were visible on his various websites (Ameblo: kaneko-noboru, Twitter: @L91c5DTfDS44SDW and Instagram: @noboru_kaneko_official). The other GaoRangers/Roaring Rangers actors and actresses has no comments on the miniseries. As for Nao Nagasawa (Twitter: @nagasawanao0105, Ameblo: nao-nagasawa and Instagram: nagasawana_official), who was last seen in Hero Mama League last year (2018), she may have watched the bloody tournament on TV Asahi, but was not given a single comment on any of her posts. The rest of the Hurricangers/Hurricane Rangers actors and actresses were likewise silent about this issue. However, many Super Sentai (Squadron) fans have asked Noboru and Nao: "Will the Gaorangers/Roaring Rangers and the Hurricanegers/Hurricane Rangers return in 2021 for the 45th Anniversary of the Super Sentai (Squadron) Series?" For them, they won't answer right now. But at a right time, they will reveal their answers to the fans in the future.
