Super Sentai (Squadron) Strongest Battle Team Analysis Part 2: The Battle Fever J Team and the DenziMen
Looks like the United Nations isn't going to be happy about this news: The electromagnetic malfunction has spread across the world and now, everything went black in the world of science.
Previously, we analyze the first two Super Sentai (Squadron) Teams of the Showa Era: The GoRangers/Five Rangers and the J.A.K.Q. Team.
As we continue our analysis, let's focus the next two teams of the Super Sentai (Squadron) Strongest Battle: Batoru Fiibaa Jei (Battle Fever J) from February 3, 1979 Saturday to January 26, 1980 Saturday and Denshi Sentai DenjiMan (Electronic Squadron DenziMan/Electromagnetic Men) from February 2, 1980 Saturday to January 31, 1981 Saturday.
Speaking of which, Battle Fever J is celebrating its 40th Anniversary and DenziMan/Electromagnetic Men will be celebrating its 40th Anniversary next year (2020), the year in which its second Summer Olympics will be held in Tokyo, Japan (The first one was in 1964).
There is only one man who involved on these two shows: Kenji Ohba. He played Shirou Akebono/Battle Kenya and Daigorou Oume/DenziBlue/Blue Electromagnetic Man.
He later played Retsu Ichijouji in Space Sheriff/Space Police Gavan in 1982.
Kenji admitted that his former actors and actresses won't be able to attend such anniversaries because some or most of them are already retired from the Japanese Entertainment Industry as of this year.
What a bummer!
Oh well, let's analyze these two teams and where did they belonged to.
3) The Battle Fever J Team
Masao Den/Battle Japan is still in Japan teaching Martial Arts to his pupils.
Makoto Jin/Battle Cossack II is currently lives in Moscow, Russian Federation (Formerly the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics). Although he is openly welcomed democracy since 1992, his loyalty to Mikhail Gorbachev remains a secret. He even did not tell this to his Russian wife, his children or his grandchildren about it.
Kyousuke Shida/Battle France is currently residing in Paris, France with his French wife, his children and his grandchildren. He is retired from his fencing school.
Shirou Akebono/Battle Kenya is now in Nairobi, Kenya with his Kenyan wife and his children and grandchildren. He lived in poverty and really missed Japan.
And Maria Nagisa/Miss America II now lives in Washington D.C., United States of America with her husband, her children and her grandchildren. She is retired from the Federal Bureau of Investigation office.
But that doesn't mean these ultra veterans that they once served under their late mentor Retired General Tetsuzan Kurama are retiring from the battle.
They left Earth and headed for the planet Nemesis so that the Cold War II will commence there. In other words, it's like U.S.A. Vs. the former U.S.S.R. all over again!
Here is the list of teams where the Battle Fever J Team belong. And the United Nations on Earth isn't going to like this war outside of Earth:
Masao Den/Battle Japan: Leader Team
Makoto Jin/Battle Cossack II: International Team
Kyousuke Shida/Battle France: International Team
Shirou Akebono/Battle Kenya: Animal Lover Team
Maria Nagisa/Miss America II: Police Team
Here are the results in which the United Nations don't want to see this:
Round Of 32
All of the teams except Masao's were defeated here. Makoto, Kyousuke, Shirou and Maria disappeared, taken way by Rita and were imprisoned in her gem.
Meanwhile, Masao's Team had defeated the Frivolous Team.
Round Of 16
I don't know which team fought against Masao's Team, but he stood his ground here...for now.
Quarterfinals
Masao's Team was defeated by the Martial Artist Team and he was included in the gem imprisonment list.
The entire Battle Fever J Team was further suffered when Great Satan, the main villain of the 1992 Super Sentai (Squadron) ZyuRanger/Beast Rangers, was revived after 26 years.
Their opponent, the Oddball Team, had defeated the Ultimate Great Satan and Rita in her Gaisorg/Gaisoulg Armor.
This leads to the BFJ Team probably being set free and I don't know if they returned to Earth thereafter.
4) The DenziMen/Electromagnetic Men
As the 1970s ended, so does the era of the 1980s started.
Ippei Akagi/DenziRed/Red Electromagnetic Man, Daigorou Oume/DenziBlue/Blue Electromagnetic Man, Jun Kiyama/DenziYellow/Yellow Electromagnetic Man, Tatsuya Midorikawa/DenziGreen/Green Electromagnetic Man and Akira Momoi/DenziPink/Pink Electromagnetic Woman are now Senior Citizens and to this day, still have their Electromagnetic Powers that have passed on to their children and their grandchildren.
What surprises me is that none of them had gone to the planet Nemesis and neither of them had entered the Super Sentai (Squadron) Strongest Battle list.
But Captain Marvelous/GoukaiRed/GokaiRed/Red Heroic Ranger of Goukaiger/Gokaiger/Heroic Rangers of the Oddball Team has Ippei Akagi's/DenziRed's/Red Electromagnetic Man's Ranger Key to crash and separate Gaisorg's/Gaisoulg's armor from another member of the team Stinger/Sasori Orange/Orange Scorpion Ranger of KyuuRanger/KyuRanger/Nine Rangers/Sphere Rangers.
What a relief for Kenji Ohba, who didn't appear on that Super Sentai (Squadron) Strongest Battle Miniseries!
Kenji Ohba said that he had mixed reactions over his characters Shirou Akebono and Daigorou Oume.
Although Shirou was one of Rita's 155 victims of injustice, Daigorou on the other hand was lucky that he stayed on Earth along with his other teammates.
Mr. Ohba is now 64 Years Old.
I hoped we see more of him if he is still strong enough to reprise his role in the Tokusatsu (Special Effects) World.
The next time we'll meet again, it's the Senior Officers of the Sun Vulcan Team and the Goggle-V Team, who were once a group comprising a mountain climber, a chess player, an ice hockey player, a zookeeper and a gymnast on Part 3.
So, don't miss it!
